By Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Disney Plus has finally launched France on Tuesday after being delayed by two weeks at the behest of the French government which feared that the service would overload the country’s internet networks during the coronavirus lockdown.
The streaming service launched in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Switzerland on March 24. The Walt Disney Company said that Disney Plus will now feature a lower overall bandwidth utilisation (by at least 25%) and reduced video quality for the time being.
