Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has told the story behind the club’s historic Champions League final win on the eighth anniversary of the Blues lifting the trophy.
Drogba equalised late on for Chelsea in the final against Bayern Munich before going on to score the winning penalty. Chelsea had been underdogs in the final with Roberto Di Matteo in charge following the sacking of Andre Villas Boas in March.
The game was also played in Bayern’s home stadium though Drogba broke the hearts of the thousands of Munich fans in attendance.
