DEATH In Paradise will return for a second Christmas special this year, The Sun can reveal. The long-running BBC crime drama will head to Guadeloupe for a feature-length episode after its first-ever festive outing drew giant viewing figures.
Its 11th series - starring Ralf Little as DI Neville Parker - finishes on Friday. Series 12 and the feature-length Christmas episode go into production in spring of this year with the returning cast including Ralf, Elizabeth Bourgine, Tahj Miles, Shantol Jackson and Ginny Holder.
The 2021 special, set on the fictional Caribbean island of Saint Marie, was watched by more than 8.8million, making it the third most watched show of the festive period.
The second festive one-off will air on BBC One later this year to inject some much-needed sunshine in the winter months. Don Warrington will star as police commissioner Selwyn Patterson.
