Reddit to express his anger and asked users if he was an a**hole for unleashing a handful of curse words onto the school teacher.Included in the tirade, the irate user said he told the teacher to "go f*** yourself" and accused her of being "too used to bossing around kids who have to listen to you".The phone call was recounted in the forum post to subreddit r/AmItheA**hole, with tens of thousands weighing in on whether or not the dad was in the wrong. The original poster said he had received a call from his son's teacher to ask about a birthday party that saw only nine of the 24 classmates invited.

The anonymous father claimed the teacher told him there was a "rule" for inviting the whole class "since kids get their feelings hurt if they get left out".

The father then lost it with the teacher who friends say "needed taking down a peg".The father revealed to Reddit what he had said to the teacher, writing: "I said: 'Lady, it's pretty clear that you're too used to bossing around kids who have to listen to you and that you don't seem to understand that your little fiefdom ends at the end of the school day and doesn't go further than schoolhouse gates."'I am not a 6 year old in your class.

I'm a 38 year old union electrician planning a private event in my own home, off school hours."'If you think you're the one to make the rules for me, in my home on which I pay the mortgage on, you can go f*** yourself and there isn't a goddamn thing you can do about it.'"He added: "She then kind of stammered and I ended the call."When asking Reddit if he was an "a**hole" for the incident, over 14,000 users upvoted a comment.
