A six-year-old boy is fighting for his life after a crocodile bit his head and dragged him underwater for ten minutes. The child was understood to be playing with his sister were playing near El Palmar beach in Mexico when they wandered away from their parents.
They began exploring an estuary home to numerous crocodiles. Witnesses then watched on in horror as the animal reportedly grabbed the boy by the head, dragged him into the water and tried to drown him for approximately 10 minutes, biting him in the head, arms, chest and legs.
Tourists and lifeguards had to throw stones at the crocodile to release the child and scare the three-metre-long animal away, according to reports.
