When Ray Tollerfield volunteered to help distribute emergency supplies around Greater Manchester, he didn’t imagine the ‘sheer distance’ he’d end up covering.

As managing director of kitchen supplier KPS Pronorm, Ray agreed to help out at a depot on Swan Street, which was set up to collect generous donations to the Covaid-19 appeal - which aims to raise money for the most vulnerable people across Greater Manchester. “Through our work with Capital&Centric on several of their schemes, we’ve got a good relationship with [co-founder] Tim Heatley, and I’ve been involved with a charity before,” Ray told the Manchester Evening News .
