Coronation Street star Simon Gregson was fuming after he said his car was "written off by his insurance company".The soap star has played taxi driver Steve McDonald on the ITV soap for three decades, but it seems he suffered a bout of real life road drama this month.The actor, 47, took to Twitter to announce the awful news his car had been written off after the vehicle was hit by an "unfortunate nice lady".He told fans his insurance company decided the motor was no longer drivable, despite it only suffering a "minor" amount of damage.The former I'm A Celeb star revealed he was planning to ditch the insurance company as he was so disappointed by their service.Simon tweeted: "So a nice unfortunate lady hit my car today when it was parked up."Very minor damage just a dent and my insurance company wrote it off."Wtf is that about?

Car now being repaired by her insurance so no loss."The road accident comes after Simon was got embroiled in a boozy altercation last month.The actor was reportedly questioned in the back of a police van following a brawl outside a Toby Carvery pub over the road from the Grand National racecourse.Police had initially confirmed they were investigating the reported "altercation" between two men at The Rocking Horse pub yards from the venue.However, it has since been claimed cops have decided to drop the investigation, and that Simon has told Corrie bosses he'll steer clear of trouble.There's MUCH more where that came from!
