Victoria Derbyshire has moved to present BBC News to give updates on coronavirus months after her show was axed. The 51-year-old presenter told her Twitter followers earlier today that she would be bringing viewers the latest news on the coronavirus pandemic.

This comes months after the announcement that her BAFTA Award-winning current affairs weekday series, which first began in 2015, was axed by the BBC in January due to costs.

She tweeted: "Coronavirus: 9am we’re on @BBCOne , switching to @BBCTwo and @BBCWorld at 10am. "How you feeling, what you thinking, today?
