A 99-year-old war veteran has raised £6m for the NHS after setting out to raise £1,000. Captain Tom Moore pledged to raise the money by walking 100 lengths of his garden in Bedfordshire before his 100th birthday on April 30.
Following an overwhelming response - with more than 255,000 supporters - he is on track to finish by Thursday. Speaking on BBC News as Victoria Derbyshire broke the news more than £6m had been raised, Captain Moore saidid it was 'completely out of this world'.
