Coronavirus: Stranger sends desperate mum Calpol for daughter as supermarkets ran out

A mum says she is ‘overwhelmed’ by the kindness of a stranger who gave her Calpol for her sick daughter. Kate Hazell, from the town of Hayle in Cornwall, had been desperately searching for medicine after her daughter Destiny fell ill with a cough.

When the eight-year-old came home from school on Monday with a high temperature, her concerned mum rang 111 and was advised to self-isolate for 14 days due to the coronavirus outbreak, Cornwall Live reports.
