The Ryder Cup is set to be delayed until next year after the US PGA in May became the latest Major tournament to be postponed.
The next four PGA Tour events, as well as the Masters next month, were called off last week during The Players Championship.
And now the cancellation of the US PGA in San Francisco is set to extend the shutdown until mid-May – and cause chaos for the golf calendar and Ryder Cup qualification.
The biennial clash between the USA and Europe is scheduled to be played at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin from September 25-27.
