A mum who was in agony because of a toothache took matters into her own hands to rip it out after downing four beers, after being told the dentist was closed amid the coronavirus lockdown.
Helen Shires, 41, ripped out her painful tooth with a dental floss after being told she would have to wait up to 12 weeks before she could see a dentist.
The mum-of-two from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, drank four cans of Stella Artois for "Dutch courage" before yanking out the gnasher when the pain became unbearable.
In the "DIY" tooth extraction, she initially used a kitchen knife to loosen the tooth up after enduring three agonising nights without any sleep.
