Liverpool players, led by captain Jordan Henderson, have offered their help to the Fans Supporting Foodbanks scheme in the city in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.
The Reds have seen their Premier League title charge halted by the outbreak, which has seen all Premier League fixtures suspended until at least April 3.
But despite concern over whether they will lift their first top flight crown in 30 years, the Jurgen Klopp's stars are seeing the bigger picture.
Ian Byrne, the MP for Liverpool West Derby, has revealed how he was contacted by Henderson to support the Fans Supporting Foodbanks scheme, which relies heavily on collections outside Anfield on matchdays.
