Police say they are “very concerned” for the welfare of a missing Scots pensioner who vanished on Friday.Joyce Kirkland, 72, was last seen around 10pm on March 12 in a house on Rankine Place, Buchanan Street, Kirkcudbright in Dumfries and Galloway.At 4.30am on Saturday March 13 she was reported missing to police.Joyce is described as around 5ft 6in tall, medium build with grey shoulder length hair.
It is thought she was wearing a black puffa jacket and blue tracksuit bottoms.Today officers have been looking in the area of Kirkcudbright Harbour and dive and marine units have been helping with searches in the River Dee.Coastguard teams have also assisted in police searches around coastal areas.Chief Inspector Bryan Lee, Local Area Commander,.
