He and his wife Trudie Styler only became aware of their mistake much later, Sting told an Italian newspaper, “when we served the estate’s wine to guests, and I saw someone empty their glass into a flower bed.”The switch is what the Corriere della Sera newspaper called, “a little osteria trick” although usually the ruse operates the other way around, with a cheaper wine being substituted for something that at least appears to be grander.
