Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.A new community action group is cleaning up the Eddlewood area in Hamilton.Volunteers will meet every week to collect litter in streets and wooded areas in a bid to improve the area’s image.The Eddlewood Community Action Group formed to support vulnerable people through lockdown and are now establishing themselves as a community organisation supported by Councillor Josh Wilson and South Lanarkshire Council.Starting this Sunday (September 13), the team will meet every week at noon outside Eddlewood Football Club’s pavilion and are calling on more locals to get involved to help with their efforts.Organiser Karen Madden set up the group.
