Coldplay charge £425 for Hampden VIP packages that allow fans to discuss climate change at gig

Eco warriors Coldplay are charging fans £425 for a “VIP” package that offers hanging out with local climate change campaigners.

The supergroup’s extortionate pricing for their gigs at Hampden next year have brought accusations they are “touting their own tickets”.

Coldplay are using US-style “dynamic pricing” for the Glasgow show, which sees prices increase massively depending on the level of demand for “upgraded” tickets.

Briefs that started at £75 for the Hampden showpiece gigs are now being sold on Ticketmaster for £221.That figure is almost four times the £60 being asked by Scots star Gerry Cinnamon for tickets on the same row at his gigs in July.The UK’s top authority on ticketing, Reg Walker, said “dynamic” pricing was forcing fans
