When 22-year-old Christina Grimmie, The Voice star and YouTube sensation, was fatally shot at her concert in 2016, it took a heavy toll on her boyfriend Stephen Rezza.
The duo had been writing music together when she left for the ill-fated tour. Since her death, Rezza channeled his grief into his own music, sampling the late songstress' voice from songs they wrote together and songs she released before she died.
He wanted to dedicate an album of his own to her, titled Songs For Christina. Today (April 10), with the blessing from Grimmie's family, the first song sees the light of day.
