Chelsea are believed to be keen on signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with the striker’s future unclear at Arsenal. Aubameyang is yet to put pen to paper on a new contract at the Emirates Stadium as he enters the final 12 months of his current terms.

That has caused an upsurge in rumours that he could be leaving the club on a free transfer at the end of next season. The Gunners have been guilty of letting players run down their deals in the past, as shown by Aaron Ramsey's departure to Juventus last year.

And ESPN report that Chelsea are hoping that will be the case once again with Aubameyang, as they look to bring in a top striker.
