Premier League clubs have “unanimously agreed” to let players sign short-term contract extensions until the end of the 2019/20 campaign if their deals are due to expire on 30 June.
English top-flight sides have been sweating on the futures of their out-of-contract stars, with matches now guaranteed to stretch beyond the end of June if the season gets back up and running.
Some of the biggest names who are set to become free agents this summer include Chelsea stars Willian, Pedro and Olivier Giroud, Manchester City maestro David Silva, Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen, Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana, and Newcastle sensation Matty Longstaff.
