Chelsea are allegedly concerned they will not be able to finish the season because of the sanctions placed on Roman Abramovich. After being banned from generating revenue through merchandise and ticket sales, the club suffered another blow when shirt sponsor Three suspended their £40million deal. There could be a final nail in the coffin on the way with Nike considering walking away from their 15-year contract worth £900m which was signed in 2016, as per the Daily Mail. That would see the Blues miss out on £540m.Club officials held talks with the Government on Thursday and are fearful they "will struggle to complete the campaign".During the meeting they proposed an amendment to the special licence which has been granted to allow them to continue to operate. As well as the block on merch and ticket sales, they are currently unable to buy or sell players or hand out new contracts. That means they have one source of income which is from food and drink.Their expenditure was also limited with the £20k maximum spend on travel to away matches a particular concern. Are the restrictions on the club too much?
