Channel 4's Gogglebox Malone family questioned by airport security over item in bags
dailystar.co.ukGogglebox stars Tom and Julie Malone were surprised to be pulled by airport security for questioning, as they were supposed to be heading to Dublin for a weekend away.The incident happened on Friday (22 April), at Manchester airport, over an object which was packed in Tom’s bag.He took to Instagram to update his followers on the strange reason for the delay the couple had hit during their travels to Dublin.Tom was questioned for having a set of curling tongs in his bag, despite being bald.
He said: “Guess who got [questioned] at Manchester Airport because he had curling tongs in his bag?” Hilariously deadpan, Tom went on to say: “They weren’t mine!
Christ almighty, they say: ‘are these your curling tongs?’ and I’ve got to say, ‘yeah’ cause I packed my own bag, apparently.”His partner, Julie, could be heard laughing in the background, and was very keen to get back into the holiday spirit.
