It’s a habit that drives most women mad, but now men have been given a valid excuse to leave the toilet seat up. James Milnes, managing director at Zoonos has advised that Brits should leave the toilet seat up to reduce the spread of coronavirus.
Mr Milnes claims that leaving the seat up reduces the need for multiple people to touch the seat. Speaking to the Sun, he explained: “Leave the lid of the loo seat up to reduce the number of people needing to touch it to lift the seat up and down. "To be courteous to other guests, clean the loo seat with an antibacterial wipe after use.” Studies have shown that the virus can survive for up to three days on plastic - including on toilet seats.
