Brits will need to prove they have an essential reason for travelling abroad from tomorrow - or risk a £200 fine. Anyone who fails to fill out a form stating the reason for their trip could be blocked from boarding their flight or face a hefty fine, the Department for Transport confirmed.
The three-page form must be downloaded from the Government's website and signed before travel. Travellers can then present a paper copy or carry the form on their mobile to show airport staff at check in or at the departure gate.
Passengers who do not have a valid form can be denied access to their flight. The details emerged 40 days after Home Secretary Priti Patel announced a crackdown on people going abroad without a valid reason.
