Brits could face fresh confusion over long-awaited foreign holidays if the Foreign Office advises against travel to green list countries.
Ministers are expected to give an update in May on whether people can jet away for a summer break, with hopes mounting that international travel can resume after May 17 - the next stage of Boris Johnson's lockdown roadmap.
Countries will be ranked using a traffic light system, with travellers able to visit destinations on the "green" list without quarantine.
Trips to "amber" countries will require returning Brits to quarantine at home for 10 days, while anyone coming back from a "red" list destination will have to shell out for a Government-backed quarantine hotel.
