There's a "good chance" crucial social distancing rules will be axed next month, Boris Johnson said today. The Prime Minister appeared to back reports that the one-metre-plus rule will be scrapped in pubs, restaurants, cinemas and theatres from June 21 at the earliest. "I think we've got a good chance, a good chance, of being able to dispense with one-metre plus," he told reporters on a visit to Hartlepool.
Mr Johnson also said he hopes the first foreign holidays will be allowed "on" May 17. Previously he'd said international travel would only resume from that date at the earliest.
