Boris Johnson says there is a “good chance” social-distancing rules will be scrapped on June 21 as the government had planned.
The Prime Minister said it is likely the UK will be able to "go ahead" with the final phase of Johnson’s roadmap out of lockdown, but admitted he will not be able to say "categorically" until nearer the time.
Currently, Brits are subject to social restrictions of a distance of one-metre plus, which means people have to stand apart in places like Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's.Speaking to press on Monday May 3, Mr Johnson attributed the potential relaxation of social distancing rules to the success of the vaccine rollout.
