The British Soap Awards have been axed for a second year running over Covid restrictions. The event had been due to take place in June, but ITV bosses, who are behind the event, have now confirmed it won't be happening.
Coronavirus restrictions are due to be lifted over the summer but it's believed the decision was made over health and safety fears.
An ITV spokesperson told the Daily Star : "As a result of the pandemic, and following careful consideration of the ongoing safety measures in place for both drama productions and live events, ITV can confirm that the British Soap Awards will not take place this year... "We look forward to hosting the awards again, when it is safe to do so and honouring the actors and shows that are so close
