Britain's Got Talent bosses have made a major shake-up to the BGT live shows format for the first time ever. Not only that, but the ITV talent show is replacing The X Factor it seems, stealing its prime-time Autumn slot - while it is unsure if this is just a temporary move.
After X Factor was confirmed not to be airing in 2020, there's no going back as BGT has replaced it. The BGT semi-finals were supposed to air in May, along with the live final.
Normally, five or six semi-finals air across a whole week, before the weekend sees the final hosted by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly.
