Bride who attacked mum with stiletto in mass brawl escapes jail with groom and best man

jail along with the groom and his best man after she attacked her own mother with a stiletto.Clare Goodbrand, 26, earlier admitted to hitting her mother Cherry-Ann Lindsay on the head with a stiletto shoe at the wedding reception at The Vu in Bathgate.The big day turned into a mass brawl and involved her husband Eamonn Goodbrand and his best man Kieran, who is also Eamonn’s younger brother.All three appeared for sentence on assault charges at Livingston Sheriff Court in Scotland on Friday (April 29).Eamonn, 33, and Kieran, 36, both admitted assaulting Ms Lindsay’s boyfriend David Boyd and caused him injury, biting his finger and his ear and gouging his eyes.Kieran also pleaded guilty to a second charge of punching and kicking DJ Garry Brown to the head and body to his injury as the wedding reception reached a riotous end in the early hours of 24 June 2019.In court, Mrs Goldbrand’s lawyer spoke about how she claimed her mum told her she was having a “fantasy relationship” with her new husband.Her lawyer also told the court that her mother’s boyfriend had been “sexually inappropriate towards her”.According to the Daily Record, lawyers for each of the Goodbrands blamed the behaviour of Ms Lindsay and Mr Boyd for sparking the brawl.Depute fiscal Louise Alexander said Mr Boyd and Ms Lindsay had been in a taxi waiting to leave after the reception ended when he got out and walked back towards the venue.As he returned a few minutes later, she said, Mr Boyd was attacked from behind and repeatedly punched and kicked on the head and body by Kieran and Eamonn Goodbrand.For the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletter by clicking here.Miss Alexander said Ms Lindsay then.
