Former Celtic midfielder Marc Crosas has taken a dig at Rangers ahead of the Ibrox giants’ Europa League shot at glory. Rangers had tweeted yesterday "Next stop Sevilla" after their Scottish Premiership season came to a close with a win at Hearts. The picture had a sombrero on a ball and Crosas has taken issue with the post, pointing out a sombrero is a symbol of Mexican culture and not Spanish.Quote tweeting it, the 34-year-old Catalan and now naturalised Mexican snapped: "Someone tell them Sevilla is in Spain, please.

Don’t want them nowhere near Mexico." Rangers face Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday, the first Scottish side to play in a European final since Walter Smith plotted a route to Manchester in 2008.

If the Glasgow side beat their Bundesliga opponents, they will be the first Scottish team to win a European trophy since Aberdeen brought down Real Madrid in the 1983 Cup Winners’ Cup.

Crosas, meanwhile, played for Celtic for three years from 2008. His sole trophy from his spell at Celtic Park was the League Cup in his first season.
