Former Tory leader Michael Howard has torn into Boris Johnson's controversial Brexit plans as anger mounts against the Government.
Lord Howard became the third former Conservative leader to openly attack proposals to unpick parts of the Prime Minister's Brexit deal - a move which Cabinet Minister Brandon Lewis admitted broke international law.
The Brexiteer Tory accused ministers of showing "scant regard" for its treaty obligations and said the move would undermine the UK's ability to criticise Russia, China or Iran for illegal acts.
His comments came after former Tory Prime Ministers Sir John Major and Theresa May both criticised the Government for the proposals, which have sparked an outcry at home and abroad.
