Dozens of Tory MPs look set to mount a revolt over Boris Johnson's plan to break international law - as his hopes for a Brexit trade deal teeter on the brink.
Senior Conservatives are preparing a parliamentary assault on new legislation that unpicks elements of the Withdrawal Agreement relating to Northern Ireland - which ministers have admitted breaks international law.
The Government wants to fast-track the bill through the Commons in the next two weeks. But Sir Bob Neill, who chairs the Commons Justice Committee, is leading a rebellion to add a "parliamentary lock" on any changes to the Withdrawal Agreement.
