Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

mirror.co.ukJohnson failing to strike a trade deal with the European Union would be “an act of vandalism” that would put millions of jobs at risk, the UK’s top union official has warned.
TUC chief Frances O’Grady said the Prime Minister needed to “get on with the job” of reaching an agreement if he was serious about protecting the economy.
The Government has been accused of attempting to sabotage trade talks with Brussels by planning to over-write the Brexit deal Mr Johnson signed just last year.
Ahead of this weekend’s TUC conference, Ms O’Grady warned that ministers should “stop posturing” and show they were serious about tackling the economic fall-out from the coronavirus crisis.
