Brendan Rodgers has revealed the details behind his final moments as Liverpool manager. The Leicester boss, who enjoyed successful spells with Swansea and Celtic either side of his time at Anfield, was sacked by the Reds in October 2015.
A little over a year earlier, the Northern Irishman had come close to leading Liverpool to their first ever Premier League title.
After Manchester City pipped them to top spot in 2014, though, and Luis Suarez subsequently left for Barcelona, things began to unravel for Rodgers.
The team deteriorated on the pitch and the owners, Fenway Sports Group, pulled the plug on his reign after a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.
