The Magpies are subject to a £300million Saudi-led takeover attempt with the Premier League currently undergoing their fit and proper test on the potential buyers.
Should the offer go through without any hitch then the visit of Jurgen Klopp’s team would be the last game of unpopular owner Ashley’s tenure at the club.
