For the latest news from in and around Oldham sign up to the MyOldham newsletter here A woman has died after a crash between a bike and car in Oldham.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash on Huddersfield Road just after 1.20pm yesterday (March 24). A black Range Rover collided with a cyclist near the junction with Stamford Road, police said.

The cyclist - a 43-year-old woman - was taken to hospital in a critical condition. She sadly passed away this morning. The Range Rover driver remained at the scene and spoke with officers.

No arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing and police are asking anyone with information - particularly anyone with dash cam footage - to get in touch.
