car stunt gone wrong has seen his father refuse to apologise for the death-defying incident.Stuntman Sergey Kocherga, 40, is refusing to apologise after using his son Timur, eight, in a stunt which both had to make miraculous escapes from.Spectators and on-hand marshals rushed to Sergey and Timur's aide, with the latter said to be "shaking with fear" according to one eyewitness who saw the youngster pulled from the fireball wreckage.READ MORE: Helicopter crash decapitated Hollywood star and killed two kids in front of film crewDespite the horrifying incident that could've killed the father and son duo in Russia, Sergey is refusing to apologise and has said he and his son have "chosen this".The pair were seen hurtling through the air briefly in a stunt that, had it been successful, would have seen the two career over the top of several cars after hitting a ramp.Instead, the pair crashed straight into the first car and cartwheeled over the second, with their stunt vehicle bursting into flames in front of the hundreds in attendance.Sergey received burns to his back and arms requiring medical help, while young Timur was "unharmed" and "continued to perform" the death-defying stunts.

Russian authorities have opened a "procedural check" into the incident in Ivanavo, Russia. A statement from the investigative committee said: "The investigation established that during the stunt show, during the performance of the jump, two people were injured, including a minor."Investigators will establish all the circumstances and causes of the incident." Despite a second probe opening into the incident from the prosecutor's office, which says criminal prosecutions may be possible in this event, Sergey has been unapologetic.
