Boy, 17, stabbed to death as police officers tragically fail to save his life at scene

A 17-year-old boy has been knifed to death in London, becoming the sixteenth teenager to be murdered in the capital this year.

Police officers found the lad in Harrow at 3.30pm today and tried in vain to save the lad's life, but to no avail. The boy, who police said is believed to be aged 17, suffered "fatal stab injuries" and was found in Northwick Park in the Greater London, north east borough.

His family has been told of the terrible news. No arrests have yet been made and police urged people to come forward with information.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "A teenager has died after he suffered fatal stab injuries in Harrow. Are you at the scene?
