The prime minister has told parents not to leave children with 'older relatives' as school closures across the UK were announced.
Boris Johnson has confirmed that schools will be closed across the UK by Friday in his latest bid to slow the spread of coronavirus.
It comes after ministers in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales announced schools would be shutting this week. Mr Johnson reminded families not to turn to vulnerable relatives to look after children as the elderly and people with underlying health conditions were urged to distance themselves from others.
