Boris Johnson is sticking to the March 8 school reopening despite pressure to bring it forward. The Prime Minister has said he hopes that schools in England will be able to begin reopening in just over a month as the vaccination programme continues to be ramped up.
Top scientists has warned the date is unrealistic while putting children back behind desks when the community transmission remained so high would be “a recipe for disaster”.
