Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

The claims are made in the new biography of the Prime Minister called The Gambler, written by investigative author Tom Bower, which is being serialised in The Mail on Sunday.In it, it is alleged that Boris' mum Charlotte and dad Stanley had a troubled relationship which, in one particular incident, resulted in violence.Desperate for the incident to come to light, Charlotte told the author: "I want the truth to be told."Family friends are reported as confirming the story, but are also said to have insisted that it was just a one-off.The friends said it happened in the 1970s when Charlotte was.
