Black Lives Matter organiser speaks out after Bolton council leader orders fence to be built around Cenotaph ahead of protest this weekend

'mob rule' protests and said the council does not support the march taking place during the coronavirus pandemic.Organiser Haleema Amir, 20, from Great Lever, has hit back.

Ms Amir, from Bolton4BLM, told the Manchester Evening News : "The protest has had a really good response. We didn't expect to have such a big response, but now there's over 200 people say they are attending. "We don't plan on being violent.

We just want to protest in peace."They are welcome to guard the Cenotaph, but we don't want to graffiti or cause chaos."This protest is about justice, not violence."A series of Black Lives Matters protests have taken place around around the UK following the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis on May 25.
