Berlin: Mubi Takes Celine Sciamma's 'Petite Maman' for U.K., Ireland, Turkey

Mubi, the arthouse streaming platform, and theatrical distributor has signed a deal for Céline Sciamma's Petite Maman, picking up all rights in the U.K., Ireland and Turkey for the new French-language drama from the director of Portrait of a Lady on Fire.

Petite Maman premiered in competition at the 2021 Berlin International Film Festival last week. The drama follows the story of 8-year-old Nelly and her attempt to reconnect with her absent and depressed mother.

While exploring the house and the surrounding woods behind her mother's childhood home, Nelly meets a girl her age who has the same name, Marion, as her mother.
