Benidorm reopens its beaches with safety rules but bans Brits until July 10

Benidorm has reopened its beaches this week but with new safety measures in place amid coronavirus.The plan sees a number of changes to space out sun-worshippers and is being tested before the arrival of tourists from abroad.Although national tourism is expected on June 22, and international tourism from July 1, Bendiorm's tourism board has said that "people from the UK are not expected before July 10".The ban has been confirmed by resort Mayor Toni Perez.The project called 'Benidorm Beach Safety', which was implemented from June 15, includes segregated areas for seniors aged over 70, and an online booking reservation system.The beaches of Levante and Poniente have been divided into 20 areas; 12 have free access, with the rest made up of 16.
