Barcelona to play away from Nou Camp in 2023/24 season as renovation plans begin

Barcelona will spend the 2023/24 season away from the Nou Camp as Barca's historic stadium will undergo substantial renovations.Renovations to the ground will begin in June, at the end of the season, to its first and second tiers.

However, the Catalan side will continue to play at the Nou Camp next season, until the third tier's demolition next summer.That season Barcelona will move to the Olympic Stadium - which was built for the 1992 Summer Olympics.

And the Catalan Side will return to the Nou Camp, at 50% capacity in 2024, but renovations aren't scheduled to be completed until 2026.A statement read: "The work will focus on the first and second tier, in the technological field, in the environment of the Stadium, and in the urban development outside."Actions inside the Camp Nou will include the demolition of the additional structure of the south goal where the Medical Centre was located, restoration works, anti-carbonation and waterproofing of the stands."As well as structural finishes and the improvement and renovation of the retransmission systems."What do you think of Barcelona's decision to renovate the Nou Camp?
