Sleater-Kinney have shared details of their new album ‘Little Rope’ and a tour in support of it alongside the release of lead single ‘Hell’.The Washington, US-formed indie rockers release their 11th album on January 19 via Loma Vista Recordings (pre-order here).Today (October 3) the duo comprising Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein have also shared the accompanying music video for ‘Hell’ directed by Ashley Connor (The Miseducation Of Cameron Post), which stars actress and Kajillionaire filmmaker Miranda July.‘Hell’, which was recorded at Flora Recording and Playback in Portland, Oregon with Grammy-winning producer John Congleton, is being released against the backdrop of a family tragedy.In autumn 2022, Brownstein received a call from Tucker, who herself had just received a call from the American embassy in Italy. Jordan Moreau The “Pokémon Detective Pikachu” sequel has finally caught a director. Jonathan Krisel, co-creator of “Portlandia,” is in negotiations with Legendary Entertainment to direct the sequel to the live-action “Pokémon” movie from 2019. Chris Galletta will write the script. Krisel co-created, wrote and executive produced IFC’s sketch comedy show “Portlandia,” which starred fellow co-creators Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein in a multitude of oddball situations around Portland, Oregon. He also co-created, wrote and directed FX’s “Baskets,” starring Zach Galifianakis as a rodeo clown. Previously, Galletta wrote the 2013 coming-of-age comedy “The Kings of Summer.”

Carrie Brownstein will reportedly direct a new comedy film titled Witness Protection, with Schitt’s Creek star Annie Murphy locked in for the lead role.According to an April 11 Deadline report, the film will focus on Murphy’s as-yet-unnamed character, “a woman who has always defined herself by her romantic relationships” and who becomes embroiled in a situation that forces her into witness protection. There, “she must try to figure out who she really is for the first time while maintaining her cover and keeping the criminals at bay”.Murphy will also executive produce the film alongside her Schitt’s Creek crewmates Rupinder Gill and David West Read, who are also writing the screenplay.Witness Protection will come as Brownstein’s third film as a director, following MGM’s currently unreleased Fairy Godmother and a film about Seattle rockers Heart.
