Matt Lucas' impression of Boris Johnson on last night's episode of The Great British Bake Off has been hit by complaints. Broadcast regulator Ofcom has revealed that 181 viewers lodged complaints about GBBO return.
It told the Manchester Evening News that the "vast majority" referred to the sketch mimicking the Prime Minister's press conferences.
It comes after it was announced that the episode, which was the first one in the new series, was watched by a whopping seven million people, a million more than the launch show last year.
During the skit, the Little Britain star donned a scruffy blond wig and stood behind a podium that read "stay alert, protect cake, save loaves" as he poked fun at the Prime Minister.
