A young football hopeful was fatally stabbed by a stranger who had "tried it on" with his girlfriend at a house party. Ramani Morgan had been at the address in Coventry for less than half-an-hour when he became involved in the altercation that took place on February, 29.
The 16-year-old was stabbed and suffered four injuries to his chest, back and face, reports BirminghamLive. The talented youngster, who had played for Aston Villa and Walsall youth teams, was found 300 metres away, he later died in hospital.
Sukhbir Singh Phull, 18, was convicted of his murder at Warwick Crown Court. A 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was cleared of the charge.
