SHE found fame declaring “Why, oh why, would I wanna be anywhere else” about London – a sentiment I totally agree with. But flop singer Lily Allen has very much changed her tune — and will be ditching the UK for good.
Sadly, Covid rules mean there won’t be a party — although I think fewer than six people probably bought her most recent album so perhaps they could form a farewell bubble.
I’ll give it a miss. I’m told Lily is moving to New York to live with her new husband, Stranger Things actor David Harbour. Few in British music circles will be too disappointed after years of her grumbling and preaching — alongside some pretty ropey musical efforts which have seen her pushed aside by label chiefs.
